- I think all of these guys qualified. I know at least 7 of them placed. The only one I am unsure of is Tanner Scott.
- Both Farris and Simms have New London roots. Obviously that’s where Farris wrestled, as well as his father and uncles. However, Simms is from the NW part of the state (New London is SE) and has an uncle who was teammates with Sawyer’s father and uncles in HS. Brance’s mother is the sister of New London state place winner, Shane Arnold who graduated a couple years ahead of Sawyer’s dad, Scott and his uncles, Joe and Bobby Forseen. Small world.
